What we cover

Five services, one focus

Every service is delivered by an experienced freelance bid writer, matched to your sector, scope and deadline.

Our writers know how public procurement works, from selection questionnaires to full invitations to tender, and the frameworks many contracts go through, such as G-Cloud and Crown Commercial Service agreements.

Some have worked on the buyer's side too, specifying requirements and evaluating bids. Where a contract calls for it, we can line up writers who have held government security clearance.

Private sector buyers set their own rules, formats and timescales. Our writers have written proposals for construction, infrastructure, engineering, technology and outsourcing firms, including some of the UK's largest building companies.

They're used to working with your technical experts to get the right level of detail and evidence into every response.

Many charities and voluntary organisations now compete for public service contracts alongside commercial providers. Our writers can set out your delivery model, your outcomes and your social value in a form evaluators can score.

If you're new to bidding, they'll be clear about the evidence you'll need to gather before the drafting starts.

We can line up bid writers in most major languages. They can translate an existing response or write original content in-language from the start, which reads more naturally than a translation.

Tell us the languages and the markets you're bidding into, and we'll put forward writers who fit.

SDCI™ (Synthetic Deterministic Cognitive Intelligence) is a non-LLM form of AI built on decision science, and we're the only bid writing agency using it. Because it's deterministic rather than probabilistic, it avoids the drift and made-up facts that standard generative AI tools can produce.

If you want it, SDCI™ produces a strong first draft and your freelance bid writer refines it. If you don't, we don't use it. Humans decide, tools support.

Flexible scope

The whole bid, or just the parts you need

Some teams want a writer for the full response. Others need help with the sections that carry the most weight, such as:

  • Method statements
  • Social value
  • Mobilisation plans
  • Quality narratives
  • Executive summaries
  • The whole bid

Your writer takes on the full written response, from planning through to the final proofread.

  • Selected sections

Bring in a writer for the high-value sections where the marks are won and lost.

  • Your existing drafts

We review, rewrite, restructure or complete partial drafts, depending on the source material and the time available.

  • Alongside your team

Extra writing capacity, a specialist section writer, an independent reviewer or a final quality-assurance pair of eyes.

How it works

From enquiry to handover

A typical project runs like this. We're flexible, though: your writer works the way your team works, and is happy to sign an NDA.

  1. Scope

You tell us about the opportunity. We come back with writers and a price.

    • Initial enquiry and scope review
    • Proposal and fixed quote
    • You choose your writer
  2. Write

Your writer gets to know the tender, your organisation and your evidence.

    • Document review
    • Briefing and interviews
    • Response planning
    • Drafting
  3. Finish

You review the drafts and your writer brings everything together.

    • Client review
    • Revisions
    • Proofread and handover
Costs and engagement

Industry-standard day rates

£500 to £800

per day, depending on the writer, the sector and the scope. We also offer fixed-fee pricing for defined scopes.

  • You engage with us and we engage the writer, so there's one contract and one point of contact.

  • Most work is project-specific and time-limited. We're happy to work on a retainer if you'd prefer.

  • If a writer doesn't feel right, say so and we'll put forward others.

Yes. Your writer will help turn what your organisation does into compliant, evidence-led responses. We'll be clear from the start about the information and evidence you'll need to provide, such as case studies, policies, accreditations and figures.

Very often we can help. If you let us know the work scope and deadlines, we will tell you honestly whether the project is achievable without compromising quality.

Yes. Many of our writers have niche specialisms, and if you need a particular specialism that we don't currently cover, we'll go out and find potential candidates for you.

Only if you want us to. If you do, we use SDCI™, a non-LLM form of AI, to produce a first draft that your freelance bid writer then refines. If you don't, we don't use it.

No. We only supply freelance bid writers. That's why bid consultancies use us for extra writing capacity: we're never competing with them for clients.
